The Canucks and Preds have agreed to a trade as follows:
The Preds trade Ryan Suter, Anders Lindback, Patric Hornqvist, & a 2012 2nd Round Pick to the Canucks for Cory Schneider & Eddie Lack
Thanks for the easy dealings Canucks!

i accept and since im involved sam will be voting on the trade. My reasoning is that i like schneider but i want to win now and i just dont think he will get enough time to play. I like suter and hornqvist is great for my offence.

seems like a lot for schneider I disagree. Lindback for Lack is a wash, so paying Horny & Suter to get a guy who should be starting next season is a good deal to me.

first of all unless schneider gets traded HE WILL NOT START... luongo is a better goalie than him... Lack is decent but with schneider as a backup he will almost never play... Plus adding hornqvist and Suter... Basically the preds are getting an all right goalie prospect plus a good backup goalie for a decent backup goalie and 2 great players... also a draft pick next year. This is outrageous and i am on the verge of vetoing... I need the preds to give me a very good reason why i should not veto this trade.

Upon further review and on what caps has said i want too vote for a veto of this trade..In my opinion this is outrageous guys and a very lopsided deal in favour of the Canucks.. Schneider they have been saying for 2 years is gonna be a starter but until he gets moved he aint gonna be Canucks starter.. And Lack well hes a Prospect.. And then Canucks would Get 1-2 type d man on any NHL team in the league in Suter..Plus a Forward thats a 25 too 30 goal scorer who is just hitting his prime in Hornqvist and Lindback who we could say could be a starter somewhere else also other then Nashville and a 2nd Round Pick on top..In my eyes this is just too Lopsided too agree on..Sorry Preds & Canucks but just being honest.

It's pretty simple really.
Schneider is a RFA this offseason. He will not re-sign as Luongo's back-up because he won't need to. Some team will give him an offer sheet to be their starting goalie and Vancouver will not be able to match it and pay starter money to a back-up.
Or Schneider will get traded somewhere where he will be the starter. In this situation, the power lies with Schneider as everyone knows he can be a starter.
Like I said before, Lack & Lindback are washes so giving up a 55-60 point forward and a D man who will be making $7M next season for a future top 10 Goalie is a good deal to me. I'm planning for NEXT season as this year means nothing at all.

There's 0% chance Schneider signs with Vancouver unless Luongo is dealt (unlikely). Canucks will likely workout a deal with whatever team makes the best offer to Schneider this summer.
I agree that Lindback and Lack are a wash in ability but Lindback has the same RFA status as Schneider. I would peg his value somewhere between Schneider and Lack.
We do know that Schneider is a sure bet to be a starter sooner than later and that carries a lot of weight in a 30 team league.
Suter while great in real life will probably be overpaid in fantasy hockey on this upcoming contract.
I personally like the Vancouver side because i think Lindback will be a starter sooner than Lack but I don't think it's anywhere near veto worthy.

Ok so u say Lindback for Lack is a wash ok thats fine say its a wash..I am fine with that part of the deal, what about Suter top end d man hitting his prime 40 too 50 points this year but a 35 too 45 point on average and Hornqvist who is a solid 20 to 25 goal scorer but has hit 30 going into his prime & 2nd Round Pick for a Back up Goalie that is what he is, so Schneider gets traded this year at deadline or in the summer so what..So Suter & Hornqvist & 2nd Round Pick for Schneider.. For Luongo ok maybe and i mean maybe but for Schneider Thats crazy and huge overpayment for Schneider.. If Canucks arent one of the favorites too win cup right now then they definately will be my favorite too win cup if this trade passes and Thats how i see it

Once again, Suter is not worth what he is likely to sign for this offseason.
Giving up 2 average players for a potential franchise goalie is a good gamble to take.
And that 2nd round pick is likely to be somewhere between 50-60 overall so hardly a big loss there.
Vetos should only be given in the event of collusion. This is clearly not the case here as one of the parties involved is the Commish of the league.
And if you are vetoing this trade based on the fact that you think this now makes Canucks the clear favorite to win, that is unacceptable. This trade itself is not veto worthy.

However this ends up, could the trade committee please either veto this or pass it so that I can start responding to trade offers I'm receiving?
Thanks guys.

So which one of the Sedin Sisters would you trade away to clear the cap space required to resign Suter? lol
I know if I had to pick I would lose Henrik. Buddy blocked the first shot of his career and is out for a few weeks cuz he got a booboo on his ankle.
Also to the Preds GM don't be saying my trade with the blues is lopsided when im dumping an extra D man and a shut down D man for that matter in return for a solid 2 way grit forward and more cap space when your trading away a top 10 D man in the league + a solid forward for a backup goalie who is staying put in Vancouver to play behind Luongo for years to come.
Just sayin.
I say let the trade go thru so the Canucks have to trade a Sedin to clear cap for Suter after he resigns for $7M in the offseason.
