Good trade for both teams. Balances the leagues as far as scoring with an elite forward joining the Preds and drops a bit of cap space for the Devils who were closing in on the cap and adds a D man for them and they get Ellis who is an soon to be Elite D. Not saying Orlov isnt going to be just that Ellis has more offensive upside I believe.

I asked Capitals Commish if it would be ok to comment on the trades if we kept the comments positive and it doesn't go past debate to bitching and get sour. The league is starting to balance out with the trades due to salary cap reasons now. Which is good because you don't wanna keep all your eggs in one basket in fantasy hockey. It benefits all teams in the league if every team only has a handful of their original roster players. Because the real life teams may only play 2 games a week sometimes where others may play 5 games in a week. Especially good for all teams if cross conference trades take place.
