Just wondering who is active. Capitals and Canucks may not post until later as they have limited internet access. Results might not be good but we need to know how many teams we actually have

13 teams so far, I guess that's enough to justify a draft and FA. An idea would be cutting league down to less teams or something but I would need input from other commishes.

From my experience with othe hockey leagues it was impossible to have a 30 team league. You would be lucky to get 20 good and active owners. One league we had a contraction draft allowing teams to draft players from the teams without owners. We raised salary caps & roster space so teams could afford the players. I don't think this league will survive as a 30 team league.

I'd have to withdraw. I prefer dynasty leagues to have all teams. To me it just doesn't feel right otherwise. Sorry.

Well nothing is even close to being decided yet. For now we will continue as a 30 team league. Draft info hopefully to be released within the next week

Who is Sam Hull? Just received this message from him: "Hey, I got your message on HFBoards. The Kings are open. Sign on to the website at stanleycupfantasylea.proboards.com and register for an account, then post in the ‘Spots Open’ thread that you want to take Los Angeles. Thanks Sam" So...despite being one of the few active ongoing GMs...I'm being told LA is "open" and to register for an account? If we actually have a Sam Hull...And this is the kind of account verification we're getting...I don't know guys...Not a good sign....

Well I got a new iPhone today and it activated at around noon so maybe that's it. Think about this logically, if I really was offering the Kings as available (which wouldn't make any sense) why would I offer them to you?

Well I got a new iPhone today and it activated at around noon so maybe that's it. Think about this logically, if I really was offering the Kings as available (which wouldn't make any sense) why would I offer them to you? "Think about this logically"? Well...irrespective of assuming one thing or another, we know the message came from your account, unless the e-mail you're responding to in question isn't yours, but it is...Thus my notification, that from your address came an e-mail notifying me of an open spot for LA. So, why you're throwing back a question at me to ascertain and validate my notification/question according to "logic" as to why I'm asking for clarification, seems... aggressive? Logically, any remaining GM in this league could turn around and ask: Do the guys running this league really give a **** if anyone is here? Given how easily you guys disappear whether when posed with questions, problems, and how unspecific answers are given when they're provided, there's no gap of logic that removes the possibility, that you guys could just decide to arbitrarily dump GMs one day, and there's nothing irrational at all, about supposing that you could make mistakes in the attempt to do so. But...I appreciate the clarification that it was just some glitch.

If I didn't care who was here why would I bother trying to get a replacement owner?

If I didn't care who was here why would I bother trying to get a replacement owner? You seem more interested in the hypothetical possibilities that I entertained rather than the acceptance of your answer as fact. +++ The reason a person might think that anyone and everyone (with the exception of a few here) could be replaceable is the assurance that the only sure thing that's been here thus far has been....uncertainty. It translates and informs perception. It might be why there's now what...half the league remaining? In a league of 30 teams, the people running it have to be consistent in everything, including presence and accessibility. As for not caring and seeking replacement...Well, think about it logically...If you and the few here that appear to know one another and "get along" simply want to - that's all it would have to come down to: frivolous want - you could dump and replace. "Caring" or not has nothing to do with replacing the few GMs that remain. Being inconsistent - especially in presence and accessibility - is the surest indicator that "things don't really matter". I realize the flip-side is, if a person doesn't care who is sitting in the GM's chair, it doesn't matter who is here, so why replace them at all. Well...Leagues are like houses...If you don't attend to them, don't upkeep them, weeds grow, foundations rot, etc the inference becomes clear that the owners don't care. And from that, every other inference is easily justifiable.
